So I had this idea!

I have found a new love for blogging. I never new I actually had this much to say! LOL So it lead me in a slightly different direction! I had this strange urge to use this blog for my community, not just my Photography. So I am now doing features. I want to high light People. Whether they be in a small business or trying to make it on the rodeo road. The first person I thought of was someone I have never really met. Other than in passing or on Facebook. I don't think she has ever met a stranger. I have talked to her just a few sentences and it was like we have been friends for years. Thats just her personality. And of coarse, when I reached out to her, she was all on board. Not only for herself, to to help me as an upcoming Photographer in the Equine Community. I cannot wait for y'all to here her story and get to know her a little better! Who knows, you may just make a new best friend!

As I was doing my "official" interview with Jessie, I could tell she is just like the rest of us, except she may have the best personality I have ever seen.

This chick was outdoors hiking, with a toddler on her back. Along with her friends and two other toddlers and a baby. Talk about rockstar Mamas. These are definitely the kind of Women I want in my life! Not only is she a Great Mom and friend, she also is a business women. Not only that, she is in the Equine Industry as well. Another check mark for her. She is an Equine Massage Therapist. She does humans as well. Score one for us!

30 years in the making.

Yep, you have read that right. Thats how long Jessie has been in the Horse Industry. Starting at just 3 years old, Daddy done what all rodeo Dads do, entered his baby Girl into her first Rodeo! I can say, it stuck. To watch Jessie ride is nothing short jaw dropping. She makes it look so darn easy. But to watch her work, now thats something! She seems to have this connection with the horses. Like they are almost talking to her. Could you only imagine if we humans had that connection. Oh what a world we would be living in!

Jessie has lots of experience with working with Equines. Working as a Vet Tech has allowed her to learn more about the horses bodies. Seeing them during exams and learning how the horse moves and the bio-mechanics of the animal natural movement. She has learned to identify where the injuries are and possibly what caused it. You see, its not just about getting a massage, its how we help our Athletes perform at the top of their game. Oh and get this, she works on Humans as well. You see, when the rider performs at their best, so does their partner. Thus giving them the opportunity to win big! And Hey, ,we all know how winning feels, or at least going out and giving it our best. So before you all go nuts on why your horse isn't hitting that turn on second barrel, Let Jessie give you a once over. It may just be as simple as your hip being a 1/2 an inch off.

Now listen Linda,

Its not all puppy dogs and rainbows over here in the self employed world. It takes a lot of foot work to make it out there. Especially when you have a 2 year old and a husband and a full time job and keeping up with continuing ed and selling yourself. Let me just tell ya first hand, I get it Jessie. Its hard. But, if it was easy.....you know the rest. You have to learn how to balance your life. You have to first set out to see what direction you want to go, and for Jessie, she did. She knew that she wanted to be a Mom, not just a Mom, but a great one. She also knew that she didn't just want to be a stay at home Mom, girl I feel ya, she wanted to provide for her family in a way that she was also doing what she loved. Performance! Balance. Now look at her. What do you see? I see a happy Mom who is living the dream. Happy and Confident. Something that Miss Hadley will cherish forever!

So what does older Jessie tell younger Jessie?

Be Brave

Learn to let some of the Control Go

Get out of your Comfort zone

Dont do something you love for years to come behind closed doors just because you don't know where it will take you. Then people like us will miss out on all the talent you were put here on this earth to share.

Money is great Ladies and Gentlemen, but it truly isn't everything when you are miserable and can't even enjoy it. So think about the opportunities that may arise. Find you a support system. Pray about it. Do something crazy.

You may regret it later, but how will you know if you don't at least try. Let Jessie lessons of success inspire you.

And for goodness sakes, let go get massages! We deserve some self care.
