White lilies don't grow on stalks of clover.

If someone doesn't like the re YOU, let them go. It's ok. People will laugh. They will make up things. They will lie about you. They will tell you success is not possible. They will warn you to take the "safe" road. And then they will use your ideas. They will copy you. The things they once laughed at you for will be their inspiration. Then, they will feel the strain. And begin to check in on you. And begin to begrudgingly admire that you never quit. Dear cowgirl, use them. Use these voices. Use the hate. Use the words. Use the lies. Use the anger others have toward you. Utilize the fuel....Then go out today and make every single damn dream or aspiration come true. I challenge you! Do ten things today that will get you closer to your dream....and know this. There is at least one person right here who know you can do it. I believe that you have a purpose-a beautiful point to your existence and an incredible future waiting through your dreams. Dear cowgirl, don't you dare give up.

I don't know about y'all, but this Dear Cowgirl struck a cord today.

I like to read Adrian "Buckaroogirl" Brannan. Her wisdom at such a young age is dead on. As is her writing skills. I was looking for words today to go along with these pictures and this fell in my lap. Not just for me as a Photographer, but for my girl here too. We both have big dreams, but seem to always let things block us. I'll let her tell her story on the next blog, but for now I think I'll just share a bit of mine.

Right now I feel like I am the person that is holding me back. It's really not anyone else's fault nor their responsibility. My Anxiety brain is my complete problem. Don't take pictures like that. Don't post that grainy shot. Thats not sharp enough. That doesn't look like so n so's. Let's do light n airy. No wait, dark n moody. No wait warm n fuzzy. Thats not how she does that. NO WAIT........ I am not she and she is not me!

My work is not for everyone. I do things a little differently than others. And it's ok. I'll keep posting what I like. How I see things through my eyes. Edgy. Dramatic. Sometimes dark. Sometimes light. It's what I see in the moment. I want to show the story I see unfolding in my Photos. These stories I would love to see on walls. Not just your normal everyday posed picture (thou there is a time and place for them) but your life. You live it to your fullest, why not enjoy seeing it.
