Hey y’all, I’m Mindy — the face behind Flashbacks Photography.
I’ve always believed that the best photographs aren’t just pictures… they’re pieces of a story. A laugh you forgot about, the way someone looked at you when they thought you weren’t watching, muddy boots, wild horses, quiet moments, big celebrations, and all those little details that make life yours.
Photography became my way of holding onto those moments.
My style is romantic, authentic, and storytelling-focused, with a love for natural light, earthy tones, rustic settings, and the beautifully imperfect moments in between. Whether I’m photographing a couple in love, a family making memories, a wedding day, or a horse and its person, I want your images to feel like you — not staged, forced, or overly posed.
And yes… horses are a pretty big part of my world. As an equine photographer and lifelong horse lover, there’s something incredibly special about capturing the connection between a person and their horse. That same passion for genuine connection carries into every session I photograph.
I’m the kind of photographer who will probably tell you to forget the camera is there, let you laugh, get a little dirty, chase the sunset, and capture the moments that happen naturally. I want you to walk away with more than beautiful photos. I want you to have images that take you right back to how it felt.

My approach
I’m not here to make you fit into a photography mold. I’m here to capture what makes your story yours.
My approach is relaxed, personal, and centered around the moments that happen naturally. I’ll give you enough direction to feel comfortable, but I won’t spend your entire session telling you exactly where to stand and how to pose.
Instead, we’ll laugh. We’ll move. We’ll walk, talk, dance, cuddle, play, and enjoy the moment. If your hair blows in the wind or your dress gets a little dirty, even better. Those are the moments that make your photographs feel real.
I love golden light, open fields, rustic locations, genuine connection, and the little in-between moments that often become your favorite images.
Whether I’m photographing your wedding day, engagement session, family, couples, or the bond between you and your horse, I want your experience to feel like you.
