Well, we did a thing.
I swear this chick and I get into more trouble when we are together. Between my impulses and her no $h-its given attidude, there is just no hope. Our poor husbands have completely given up on us.
So virtual fam, meet my BFF. Melissa. The one I do everything with. My adventure going, blogger, podcasting, raising my kids, holder of all my secrets best friend. And now the one I talked into getting a tattoo with me and letting me blog about it here. Bless her soul. You know its love when all this is thrown at her!
Now meet Logan
This here is Logan, owner/operator of Inkee in Granite Quarry, NC. Here is his Bio.
Hey, I'm Logan.
"Well I'm on year 7 at Inkee and I am constantly evolving, everyday I find a new way to be a little bit better. That's my goal is to always keep growing and learning. I've been tattooing for over 10 years now and my career has only just begun. I strive to be the best artist as well as the best tattoo shop. My shop is truly one of a kind. I offer a one on one experience in a clean friendly and inviting environment."
Melissa and I's experience
Was really like no other. The one on one experience, well in this case two on one, was pretty awesome. Not that other artist did not offer that, but the shop was open to only us. No others in and out. No one looking and shopping. Just us with the artist full attention. And believe me, that's what you want! Especially when you have an ADD mind like mine. Two reasons I personally will get back on a waiting list for another.
1) He is patient.... Like very patient. I told him what I had in mind, he drew it better. Which at the time, I had no idea he did. So, of course I asked for something different. And actually so did Melissa. Took him like 2 seconds to do what we asked. Laid it down, then the original. He knew. He knew what looked the best for the placement. Like, true artist.
2) He is lightning fast. And proficient. I was worried when he completed not one but two tattoos in like 15-20 minutes. Super worried that they were going to look like poo. Nope. These are the prettiest tattoos I have seen. Not just one, but all his work.
I will 10/10 recommend him. Just remember you get what you pay for. Cheap is not always good.
Tit for Tat
I know most of yall dont understand, and really it's ok. Not many people are fortunate enough to have a great best friend. And one to get almost matching tattoos with at that. Our love for the great outdoors is what drew us to get these. Hers with the North Star and mine with the Compass Star. Hers with a single NC pine to represent "ever" mine with three to represent my family. Mountains, because it's our favorite view! They have meaning. All of my tats have meaning. A reminder of who, what, and why.
I understand that tattoos are not for everyone, and again, that's ok. But those of you wanting one, make sure you do your research. Think about what you want. Long and Hard. And for goodness sake, make sure you talk to your artist and he doesn't mind changing things up a bit if you just are not sure.
To me, these are keepsakes that last forever.
Memories.
